Sinsa Neighborhood Park

Sinsa Neighborhood Park is located in the middle of Sinsa-dong, near Saejeol Station on Line 6. It is surrounded by residential neighborhoods on all sides. Although it's very close to the busy streets of Seoul, it feels completely isolated from the hectic city life. There is a low-altitude mountain (it's probably more of a hill) and some great trails that run along the edge of the park. These trails leading around and up the mountain provide beautiful views of the surrounding area.

The Scouting Report

Sinsa Neighborhood Park isn't big enough to attract people from across town, but if you live in the area, it is a fine place to visit. Surprisingly, even though it is surrounded by urbanization, it has a decent number of short hiking trails.

Sinsa Neighborhood Park

Hike. That's what you can do.

There is a great clearing near the peak and gateball court which is ideal for yoga or meditation. You don't have to do yoga, though. Of course not! Feel free to sit and do nothing. Just relax!

Get Jacked

Free weights are close to the gateball court. Not only are they in barbells and such, but they don't cost a thing to use. Completely free!

There are great elevated trails that provide nice views of Seoul. Enjoy them.

(Pack a lunch and enjoy a picnic with a view.)

Playground at Hyochang Park

This is one trail you can take. But you don't have to take this one.

The Tomb, The Birches, and The Insects

A Korean-style tomb sits along one of the trails.

Sinsa Neighborhood Park also has some great white birches. This is what really puts this park over the top.

While you are at the park don't disturb the residents of the insect hotel.
