Naksan Park

While Naksan Park is not the biggest park in Seoul, it offers views of Seoul's skyline that are unmatched by most other parks in Seoul. The fortress wall that runs through the park only adds to the unique ambience of the the place. All in all, it is a very enjoyable park to visit, especially if you are looking for a romantic, outdoor date spot.

The Scouting Report

Naksan Park sits at the top of Naksan, a key mountain for the defense of Seoul during the Joseon Dynasty. People during the Joseon Dynasty used to visit Naksan for relaxation, and that practice continues today.

Not only are there nice views of the Seoul's skyline and surrounding mountains but Ihwa Mural Village is also on the mountain. It is a popular place for aspiring urban photographers.

Athletics

Naksan Park is not an athletic park. Aside from a few badminton courts and the ubiquitous outdoor workout equipment, it does not have much to offer in the form of sport.

However, it is still a great place in which to get exercise. The Seoul Fortress Wall runs the length of the mountain and is accompanied by a pleasant walking path. The path is popular for joggers, walkers, runners, and everyone in between.

Art

The park's surrounding neighborhoods play a huge role in the personality of the park. Daehangno and Ihwa Mural Village are two areas that share at least parts of Naksan (mountain) with the park. These two areas are known for their display of the arts. Art lovers love Naksan.
