Ilsan Lake Park Flower Festival 2016
International Horticulture Goyang Korea---or, The Ilsan Flower Festival---is at Ilsan Lake Park from April 29 to May 15. Mark it down on your calendar. It always makes for a fun outing.
What Is It?
The Ilsan Flower Festival, properly known as International Horticulture Goyang Korea, is an annual exhibition of flowers unique to Korea and from around the world. It is a great opportunity to see beautiful flower arrangements. But seeing isn't the only thing to do here. There are also plenty of flower for sell.
Where Is It?
Check out the map below.
Take Subway Line 3 towards Daehwa Station. Get off at Juyeong Station. Go out exit 3. Walk for about 5 minutes until you get to Lake Park. Enjoy.
There is a sectioned-off area of the park that is the actual flower festival. However, there are still some things to see and do that don't require purchasing a ticket.
When Is It?
The 2016 festival runs from April 29 through May 15.
It is open from 9am to 9pm on weekdays and 9am to 10pm on weekends and holidays.
What If I Don't Like Flowers? Should I Still Go?
That is a fantastic question. Here are a few other things completely unrelated to flowers that you will be able to enjoy during the festival:
- Classical music performances on the Happiness Stage
- "Exciting" dance performances, cheerleading, and Nanta can be seen on the Lakeside Stage
- Boat Rides - This is one of the few times you can actually get out on the lake in Lake Park. Don't miss out.
How Much Is It?
It's cheap. At only 8,000 won, why not check it out?

Settle for second-hand information from Visit Korea. Just because it is second-hand, doesn't mean it's not good.
