Songdo Central Park is beautiful, peaceful, and refreshing. Especially the canal that snakes through the middle of it. Nothing is better than splashing around in the canal while riding a boat on a hot summer afternoon.
Boating in Incheon's Songdo Central Park is one of the highlights of the park. There are plenty of different kinds of boats to choose from for exploring the canal. There are boats that all but guarantee staying dry; there are also boats that all but guarantee getting wet. There something for everyone here.
What do you expect? You're not going to find a pristine mountain stream. If so, you are badly mistaken.
It is about what you'd expect from a moderately industrialized port city. The manmade canal is filled with saltwater from the nearby Yellow Sea. It gets refreshed every 24 hours.
|Water taxi between boathouses||4,000 won|
|Stand-up paddle boat||10,000 won / 50 minutes|
|Kayak||25,000 won / 50 minutes|
|Canoe||25,000 won / 50 minutes|
|Family boat||35,000 won / 30 minutes|
There are a coffee shop and a restaurant in the main boathouse near the parking garage.
About 100 meters down the canal from the main boathouse is a Holly's coffee shop in a hanok-style building.

From Incheon Line 1 - Central Park Station (센트럴파크역):
-Walk out of exit 4. Do a u-turn. Just on the other side of the very odd-looking buildings is the canal that runs through the park. If you follow the canal to the right, it will lead to the main boathouse. If you go left, you will shortly arrive at the smaller boathouse.
