Gwangnaru Hangang Park unfortunately shows its age. But with age comes great convenience to those living in east Seoul. Even though it's probably not the most impressive of the Hangang Parks, it is still quite enjoyable in its own right.

It isn't a huge park, but it has one huge draw. Yongma Waterfall Park has a spectacular man-made waterfall flowing down the side of the mountain. Despite the artificial nature of it, it is a very beautiful landscape.

You don't have to go to the ocean to enjoy an island. This island lies in the middle of the Han River about an hour upstream from Seoul. It is an extremely popular destination for those coming from Seoul. If you go, be prepared to deal with a large crowd.

This island....well, it's not quite an island. It used to be an island, but a land reclamation project connected it to the mainland a number of years ago. The main draw of this spot is the waterfront "culture street". It's nice...but, it's not that nice. If you've got nothing else to do on a Saturday afternoon, why not head to Incheon and check it out?
